ED doesnt report to anyone but BoD per their bylaws

anyone going to the Board meeting monday to ask questions?

Yes, I am planning to go.

they should have it over zoom so more parents can attend

Didn’t they do a board meeting over zoom once and it was a disaster though?

that was for an election but yes, it was a disaster.

why aren't gfr parents more pissed off about this?

Sorry, what are we supposed to be pissed off about? Hard to keep track of the things that have zero impact on our child's experience (or ours) but are supposed to make us angry.

fair enough, it became obvious a while ago that there aren't enough parents who care about the financial mismanagement of this club

I think people care but the people raising concerns were trying to make a mountain out of a molehill. At least from everything that’s been made public or credibly alleged, there were some small bore problems with financial controls but no real malfeasance. But the people complaining tried to make it sound like the worst thing since Enron. Far more damage was done to the financial condition of the club by the haphazard blunderbuss way concerns were raised than by anything that had happened before.

Agreed. I believe they were sued multiple times and nothing came of it but also the club failed to communicate anything substantive to clarify things which might help their reputation and now the move from RS out of a his ED position just seems a little odd. Not anything I'm going to call an attorney over though!

Can anyone stream the board meeting here on the forum? and we can discuss as its happening?
Anonymous
Discussing on the board is not going to lead to anything productive. You can still sign up to attend in person,

You know the board meetings are just regular board business and not like the annual member meeting, right? Members are just there to observe.

Same 3 people posting. It takes one person with a brain to pull the RL data to see GFR is one of the top performing clubs in the league. Doesn’t fit the doom and gloom narrative though

As long as people are happy with *most* of their teams being good in the RL league and expect nothing more!

Congrats on pummeling Valor, Herndon and BRYC.

What more would be reasonable to expect from a local club whose highest teams play RL? You sound unhinged.

DP. What do you mean by “local” club? Are some clubs local and some national?

I am speaking to the delusional folks who think GFR will ever be more than what it is currently.
