Juicing for better overall health and it also is melting away pounds

I just thought I would share some cool mixes I made:

Peach, apple, cukes, kale, spinach and celery
Mint, watermelon, cukes, kale and apple with a hit of lemon
Apple, strawberry, blueberry, spinach, celery
Cukes, spinach, celery, tomato and apple and lemon to offset
Spinach, kale, cukes, apple, lemon
Peach, strawberry, nectarine, orange

How long will you be doing this? Until 80? Or is this a temporary thing?

Do you eat actual food or just juice?

Sounds like a ton of sugar and zero protein.

I was raised by a juicing father and he is in remarkable health at 67 still running, biking and swimming daily. I plan to adopt this as a part of my lifestyle like it used to be. I use it as a replacement meal for breakfast. I will add chicken apple sausage or egg whites with chives if I need to eat more that day, like a running day. I am Indian so I eat a traditional lunch and I do not eat dinner. I am just happy this has been the push to get rid of the ten pounds I have gained over the last 7 years. I feel cleaner, am regular now, and feel better than ever. I just wanted to share.

OP, do you use a juicer/extractor or a strong blender? I don’t want to buy a juicer, but would consider blended drinks…

+1

Just eat a diet that includes a lot of fruits and vegetables. When juicing you lose all the fiber.

Juicing is idiotic.

Blend the whole fruit/vegetable, and that's a different, much healthier option.

Juicing = eating disorder, also known as starvation.

So you're starving yourself and amazed that caused weight loss?

I assume this is OP. So you eat some fruit for breakfast, a normal meal for lunch and NOTHING for dinner? And you think that's healthy? Not even close. At least eat a salad with a light dressing for dinner.

Totally disagree. There are some healthy veggies that I can’t stand eating that are great in juice. Beets, celery, carrots - I may be removing the fiber, but I feel amazing including a glass of this stuff daily. It can’t be instead of real food, but it can add some great nutrition that I wouldn’t get otherwise.

I hate it when people say cuke for cucumbers. So annoying.

OP is eating one meal a day. It definitely is an eating disorder in her case.

Do Indians eat lunch and not dinner?
