Maryvale did the rest of IAAM a favor, keeping would be starters on other teams on the sideline at MV.
Much like mcdonogh a decade earlier. |
Maryvale will remain strong the next two years as the 2027 and 2028 classes stay intact. Talent will begin dropping off as 2030's and beyond choose other schools. Unless MV brings in a "connected" coach, there isn't much else to offer going to MV. That being said, like the previous poster, still baffles me why girls/parents attend a school based strictly on the lax coach. |
Families of 27 and 28 girls are already exploring other schools. The most talked about replacement who has applied isn’t an inspired choice. |
Give us a hint - are the currently coaching for a team in the IAAM? |
| Yes |
Severn lost. Beard had 2, which is respectable but not a field day. |
|
Not a lot of talent around her. I watched some of it. She gets doubled and tries to dish and girls struggle to catch.
I’m more baffled by playing a different goalie every quarter. |
4 D1 committed goalies. Guess coach would rather keep everyone happy over playing the best. |
Why would 27 and 28 go to other schools? They will have already committed to colleges. Why not continue to play with top talent and continue to dominate? |
Did they all play today? Don’t they have 5 goalies? |
| Only 3 of the 5 played. There is no way to make 5 goalies happy. If you are playing to win, play the best one or split halves with the best two. A conference game shouldn’t be a time to rotate your goalies to make sure they all play. |
alumna? |
It’s still early, they may want to use game time to make final decisions on starters. |
I watched on Hudl, gotta clean up things on defense and offensive end there, outplayed JC imo, shot selection was major issue. Very deep at goalie, obviously but wasn’t factor here. |
They be idiots to go to McDonogh |
