Or would he not sign that early bc the House vote would be on Monday so it's not getting to him until the afternoon?

Politico is reporting that Mike Johnson expects a vote by 6:30 pm on Monday - so all day Monday will be off after shutdown procedures are done.

So Monday will be a shutdown, and Tuesday reopen?

So was true when I posted Friday. Now (Sat night): C-SPAN: The ongoing government shutdown will continue until at least Tuesday. House Rules Committee just added a 4PM meeting on Monday to approve the government funding bill the Senate revised. Full US House is expected to vote on the rule Tuesday and if approved, vote on reopening the government.

So reopen would now be Wed.

But more importantly dems will not give it any votes per Jeffries. Are there enough R votes to get it over the finish line? I dont know.

What is Jeffries deal? This seems like a very stupid move. They have momentum right now. Get this passed on then laser focus on DHS/ICE.

My agency (IC) was talking about just telling us to stay. Don’t know what reasoning they’ll use but I think that’s what will happen for us.

Some people at my agency will stay at work Monday, others will do orderly shutdown and go home. It depends on which office you’re in.

Our office was told OPM guidelines are that we have to go in.

My boss wants us to come in person for shutdown activities. Last time we were able to sign our docs from home. Not sure what changed. This time we’re furloughed unless they need us for a specific task. Can’t remember what they called it.

We were allowed to do our orderly shutdown activities from home on Monday morning. Now it's just a waiting game. House is supposed to vote sometime this afternoon. If it passes, we are back in the office tomorrow.
