Diversity?

Cisgender straight white male
No hooks

Just took it really seriously and it showed.

Don’t most of us take it seriously? Also, test optional sounds much less serious to me than most

Perhaps I should say that a) everything he did for school and EC came from a genuine inherent desire and had zero to do with thinking about if it would help him with college. That came through clearly in his essays.

And b) college counseling office was clear that with the grades and EC, testing couldn’t help or hurt him. So why stress? They were right.

Np.

It needs to be so unique it could never be written about another college. Each essay should take a ton of time to research and customize. Then create a unique one-of-a-kind framework.

My DD showed me hers today for a T10 - blew me away. So much thought, research and storytelling tied into her own interests.
Beautifully beautifully done.
Not sure it will move the needle but if given the shot, take the shot.

DC is now hoping for Princeton, Berkeley, or Uchicago.

Good lord! Impressive stats, PP. Williams' loss for sure.

Seriously that college must be idiotic. It isn’t Princeton; there’s no reason that student didn’t get in.

Wrote very explicitly about interaction with professors and students during visits and connected it to the why.

It felt written by a 17 year old. And was sincere
