Women tend to like height and men tend to like facial beauty and other attributes such as a thin waist, big boobs, or round butt.

+1 why is op making this so complicated. Men have ideals, too.

You can control fatness, you can’t control height. Heightism is real and accepted discrimination.

Go lookup the heights of nearly every single CEO and politician, hardly any are below 5’7”-5’8”. Numerous studies have shown that height significantly impacts your lifetime earnings and promotions, even after adjusting for education and experience. It’s basically discrimination against men for a genetic trait. Literally it is no different than discrimination against a person because of their race.

It impacts men far more than women. Height isn’t anywhere near as import for women as it is for men.

Ok you cannot control how pretty you are, or how big your boobs are.

No one likes a whiny person. You can control that.

Being whiny and insecure is even less attractive e than being short.

Oddly, the vast majority of men who play professional sports in the US are over 6 feet. They’re generally pretty nimble. I’d agree that the 7 footers rarely run/ move well, but that’s a big difference and some still manage it - aka the NBA.

Maybe you’re clumsy in bed? Because if your man is too heavy to F you you’re weak or he’s a big fat dolt.

I prefer my men educated, grad degree and higher. These men are usually clumsy. Maybe I'm clumsy, too and thus it's easier for me to f...k men who are between my height 5'8 to 6ft. Also, I don't date fatties my own BMI is 20 so I'm very unforgiving of fat. But height - I don't hear as long as he's at least my height

By your standard I am probably not educated enough even though I have a bachelor's degree in Engineering physics with a 4.0 GPA. Damn it I would have gone for that PhD

Height matters unless you are black. We are already scared of black men. And OMG if they are tall they scare us even more. Maybe for black men it's better to be short and skinny so they don't come across as threatening

I mean, tall men are also more financially successful so you can try to highbrow this as a more “educated” choice, that’s fine. I was just referring to the idea that tall men are clumsy in bed. They aren’t when they’re millionaires playing a game for a living, or in the boardroom. I’m sure there’s plenty of cute smart, lesser earning shorties out there

I don’t consider men who are 5’9-6’ “shorties”. Statistically, they are tall and certainly taller than me, which is good enough.
I’ve met plenty of tall over 6’ men who were just terrible jerks, too.

I think everyone on earth would agree that a 5’6 man is nearly jockey sized

American women are just reacting to American men's version of masculinity. The way American men view masculinity is wild. In my country we don't even define masculinity. But in this country men have this very bizarre view that men have be this that tall.broad shoulder wealthy and on and on geez....then they blame women for wanting tall men

“Statistics say” lots of things that don’t pan out for individuals because they are statistics. I’ve never heard a dumber reason to want to date someone. It’s no wonder this board is the mess it is. You all are the definition of “broken pickers”.

No. My partner is 6’5 and already successful.

I thought PP wa painting with a broad brush when she called tall guys bad lovers. That’s…….mind of weird so I used the professional athlete info. Then OP leveled up with the “well I only date
Men with advanced degrees” implying tall men were also stupid.

I understand how statistics work. I don’t understand why someone can’t admit to
Their preference for shorties without putting down tall men.

Said no black guy ever. Tall black men enjoy the priviledges of height too.

I think the OP was trying to sneakily call us all raciest. Or heightist. Because yeah. No black man hopes he stays short to be less threatening. That’s absurd

Whiny? Imagine telling all those black people and women who complain about making less than a white man with the same qualifications that they’re being ‘whiny’. Yet if a shorter man raises the same complaint, now they’re whiny? And if they were to stand up for themselves, then you’d prob claim napoleon complex too.

You have much control over your personal appearance from the way you dress to makeup, and hairstyle. You can’t control height no matter what, just like your race. I bet all those minorities who point out racism are just being whiny, right?
