Wow, are you unhinged! There IS an underground train there already. And the people movers are no big deal. Dulles is infinitely better than National or BWI.

The underground train serves only 1 terminal, and does not move any of the passengers on international flights. They should have built the underground train for the entire airport, but didn’t due to cost. Now they are about to waste millions refurbishing the people movers. As someone who flies frequently, there is literally no other major airport in the world that makes passengers get off a plane and then have to wait in line, board one of those things, wait around 10 more minutes for the stragglers coming off the plane to get on, be crammed inside, travel across the tarmac and then wait to get off again, all before you’ve even gone through customs. It is a 3rd world airport.

Flew into Schipol in June, had to go down the stairs, crowd into a bus, ride to the terminal and then begin the mile long walk to customs. I don’t love the Peoplemovers, but yes, there are other inconvenient airports.

That hasn't been experience at Schiopol at all.

London used to be a nightmare of walking and trains to get to customs, but it has improved.

NP. There are more than a few of us on DCUM who grow weary of reading unsubstantiated charges of racism. I will take a people mover over having to take stairs at Frankfurt and the mile long hikes between terminals. There are no elevators or escalators. Stairs. Stairs to the bus to take you to the plane. Stairs between terminals. Stairs everywhere.

Sorry I don't believe you fly frequently internationally one bit.

Other airports where I have to take a bus quite a lot are Narita on departure and Frankfurt on arrival. The buses in Narita are particularly terrible the way they crowd you in. Also, you haven't been to actual 3rd world airports if you think Dulles is a third world airport. The United terminal sucks but there are some decent enough lounges available with Priority Pass if you're not flying Business.
