The Golden Bachelor

Also, im really annoyed that I can’t find out who the winner is! It’s usually all over the internet by now.

I'm glad I can't figure it out. If I knew, I'm not sure I'd bother to watch.

I think a PP made a well reasoned case for the F1 case. Now I’ll be shocked if that turns out not to be the case!

Teresa being the winner?

Gerry is not engaged and picks neither of the two finalists. Instead, Joan comes back into the picture. As usual, Gerry starts crying and says that when she left, there were, "a lot of open questions" they need to figure out. Turns out they are still dating and "building a relationship".

They already said something wild will happen at the end so this is it.

And this is the only Bachelor that I can remember where Reality Steve did not name the winner. They probably paid him off so he wouldn't.

Apparently Joan wanted to return, and the producers agreed, but then her daughter then had a downturn. https://www.thewrap.com/the-golden-bachelor-joan-vassos-women-tell-all-interview-abc/

That doesn't mean Joan couldn't come back at the very end, though. But if that happens, will we get to see a scene where Gerry and Jesse sit down over coffee or old fashioneds and Jesse says, hey, Joan is still interested, how about it?

Jesse will give the bro talk about doing what your heart says and Gerry will mope and cry. Then Joan will come back and they will all cry.

Joan’s not coming back. Give it up. She’s clearly angling for Golden Bachelorette.

When this series was starting, I know for a fact that Joan was NOT with Gerry.

Hmm, so you know Joan, maybe from some common job or location in Rockville. Very, very interesting....

If I said how I know this, it would give away too much. Joan was telling the truth during the WTA when she said she was making every effort now to put herself out there.

Yes. The PP who analyzed the editing tricks.

Y'all. You keep talking about a Golden Bachelorette. There isn't going to be one.

Of course there will be a golden bachelorette. Golden is getting way more attention and praise than the traditional show

+1. And ABC wants those sweet ad revenue dollars

I posted upthread that Gerry appears to be telling Theresa his feelings changed, but you can’t actually see who he’s talking to. The clip of him talking is spliced with a clip of Theresa crying during the Kathy fight. Unfortunately I believe he is in fact talking to Leslie. There is a clip of Ellen crying but it’s in fact Leslie’s voice saying “you made me believe you’d picked me.” So, I think Gerry initially believes it’s Leslie but changes his mind after the fantasy suite night with Theresa, and confabbing with his daughters and granddaughters, and picks T instead. That’s fine, Leslie can still find a better fit for her, but what a tough experience.

That's quality sleuthing, pp. It's what I come to DCUM for.

Wow! I just rewatched the promos and I think this is right. I completely missed that was Leslie’s voice!

Gerry has been talking about finding the woman he can't live without, but he doesn't say nuch about getting engaged to one of tbem or getting married.

I have wondered if he picks someone but doesn't propose. Maybe he dies a "Juan Panlo" and asks the winner to go steady.

I heard him yell some interviewer that they are in a probation stage right now. So maybe he is waiting to propose until they know each other outside of the show.

I know the daughter was vulnerable, but wow, I would have a hard time not resenting her for this. I mean she seemed to have the best connection with Gerry of anyone. I guess the daughter was struggling with postpartum? So strange.

You sound like a horrible parent. When your child is threatening to kill herself or hurt her child, you put the child/grandchild first and don't look back.

Maybe don’t throw around completely unfounded statements like her daughter was threatening to kill herself or hurt her child.

First of all, I'm not a parent. I'm actually a young person, around her daughter's age, and truly it would be unfathomable to me to ruin my mom's opportunity at something like this because I was feeling depressed or whatever. Many people dont even have parents theyre close to and have to find ways to get through these situations on their own. I'm not trying to be judgmental, it just seems very crazy to me. If my mom were on a show like this I would be thrilled and not ever want her to leave to come help ME. That's just how I see it.

What's funny is that April's been outspoken on podcasts that Gerry is a drip, wouldn't give her attention, isn't what he's cracked up to be. She puts Gerry down for saying he liked the mysic of Dean Martin while her favorites are mych more current like Harry Styles. Saying or implying aying that she has a young fresh mindset and Gerry is too old and boring.

Maybe April is trying hust a but too hard to convince us and herself that she isn't old. She spent the better part of her life being Framkie Valli's sex toy, but now she wants us to believe that she doesn't know whi Dean Martin is and Harry Styles is her jam. Right.

OMG, she was pimped out by her mother, to a pedophile.

How can you possibly judge her?
