Add diced tomatoes or cherry tomatoes, olive oil, and fresh ground pepper.

We give it to our kids for breakfast with sprinkles on top. They love it.

I imagine this is good. [b]I sometimes put Indian pickle on it
and eat it like yogurt rice. Very good. But for both of these, sodium is a concern. Cottage cheese is already so salty. I still do it once in a while, but it’s not great for you.

Where are you getting your pickle? I haven't had it since I was in India, and I want some!

It's good on a baked sweet potato, with a bit of chili powder and cumin.

Best way is with crunchy pita bread with olive oil and thyme /zaatar poured on the cheese

Mine isn’t homemade. I just get it from
The Indian store. They have multiple shelves of different varieties. Once in a while, I also get it shipped from India, either from a relative, or some shops now ship. Easy to find in the US, though!

I can’t argue about the health of it. Seems very nutritious.

But I can’t stand it and all I can think about are my mother’s fad diets from the 1990s

I LOVED it as a kid. Enjoyed it in college with pineapple for many many meals in the dining hall. I'm not a huge fan of it now.

Your mother was right. I eat it with peas, broccoli, and sunflower seeds everyday for lunch. Keeps me thin and satisfied.
