Favorite way to eat cottage cheese (recipes, toppings, etc)

I like it savory. I make a small dish of it and sprinkle it with salt, pepper, garlic powder or onion powder, and paprika. Sometimes seasoning salt instead.

Now this is a fine idea. Yum.

It's a similar thing. If you like the "pre-digested and vomited up" texture of food like rice pudding, cottage cheese is ok. If you have texture issues, it's disgusting. Not sure if it's a kid thing. I personally love brussel sprouts but am not a fan of most food that doesn't require chewing.

What compelled you to open this thread, let alone to post this on here? Some people are just really weird.

Interesting. Doesn’t sound too good, but love hot sauce and love cottage cheese. Will have to try.

As a kid, my favorite ways to eat it were with canned peaches or sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. Now I love it savory, with cucumbers and ebtb seasoning.

I imagine this is good. I sometimes put Indian pickle on it and eat it like yogurt rice. Very good. But for both of these, sodium is a concern. Cottage cheese is already so salty. I still do it once in a while, but it’s not great for you.

I blend it and use it instead of ricotta in veggie lasagna.

It's a healthy, protein heavy snack.

L'auberge Chez Francois shared their cottage cheese spread they start you with when you're first seated. It is so delicious on toasted garlic bread. https://www.onceuponachef.com/recipes/lauberge-chez-francois-herbed-cottage-cheese-spread.html

No, I meant that I still combine it with a salty condiment sometimes. But I try to eat it plain or with something not salty. I agree that it’s a healthy snack.
