Bobs discount furniture, what is your experience, is it all crap?

How would you compare them to marlos?

How about to belfort or havertys.

It probably depends on the piece you buy. We got a mattress there and it smelled for weeks. I could not get the smell out no matter what I did. It was a battle to get them to take it back.

Havertys gets mixed reviews as do they all online. We are going to get some stuff through them soon.

It was the weirdest furniture store I've ever been too. Tons of salesmen hanging around, not one of them wanted to help us. So strange.

And I've bought furniture happily from Value City before. I'm no snob. That place was strange.

You really can't compare it to Belfort or Haverty's. Belfort has a wide range of prices/quality, and Haverty's is better quality than Bob's. I would consider buying an accent piece at Bob's -- like a side table, but I would never buy an upholstered or leather item there. Most of their "real" leather items are bonded leather.

it is just so darn ugly. My dad calls it "Boob's Discount Furniture" btw, which always makes me smile.

For the price, I'd rather buy and look at IKEA. Or Target, World Market, CB2 and the like.

I went there because my hubby was in denial about the price of good furniture. Our mattress and couch cushions became worn out within 6 months and the base began to break about a year later.

Our dressers, side tables, coffee table, and lamps are fine though. So as a PP stated, I wouldn't be against using them for cheap accent pieces, but nothing that is used on a daily basis.

We bought furniture for my teen that was great. No problems working with them. The quality is what you see but for us it is fine.

How are their couches i was looking at this for our home theater room but the pricing seems too good to be true http://www.mybobs.com/cineplex-6-piece-sectional

We went there last summer to look at their patio sets and discovered their snack bar and candy jars in the back. We ended up not buying anything but now it's a running joke in our family about stopping there for dessert after our dinner out...

Marlos is mostly Ashley furniture, with some others as well. You can find a range from pretty cheap to not-so-cheap-but-better-quality furniture. Value City is similar, but I personally haven't found much there I wanted.

Bob's furniture is several steps below Marlo's -- very inexpensive pricewise and qualitywise. If you're looking for incredibly cheap furniture, it's a good place to go.

If it's made in China, it's crap.

As opposed to IKEA?

It's crap because the designs look like a$$, not because of where it's made.

Does anyone know Bob's return policy? The website is not very helpful.

If I buy something, and a few days later I decide I don't like it, can I return it?

Bought my daughter's bed there (mattress and twin bed, white)
So far, so good. Sturdy and pretty.
