What are your thoughts on Snoop Dogg

I'm still wondering if his collaboration with BTS is happening. Supposedly its at least partway done. I assume its with an individual member now that BTS is more soloists than group.

I read that he already recorded his vocals for the track. I the interview he basically said he did his part, and now ball is in their court.

Maybe it will be on JHope’s album next month.

I am genuinely surprised he is still alive.

I said upthread that I think he's creepy, but this post all the way. ^ ^ ^

R & G is a great album!

Curated? Don’t make me go all Inigo Montoya on your ass.

Anyone who can be a bad-a$$ rapper then also host Puppy Bowl/work with Martha Stewart is okay by me.

I feel the same.

I grew up in Long Beach and have been following Snoop since I was in middle school and he was 19 years-old.

He is a legit, straight-up member of the Crips. The street gang. He was wearing Crip colors and did the Crip Walk on THE SUPER BOWL HALFTIME SHOW.

Do you all remember when he was on trial for MURDER in the 90s?

He probably has the best PR in the industry. I have no idea how he gets away with everything he did and still does. Dude is beloved by middle-aged Midwestern white moms while being a member in good standing of The Crips.

America is so schizophrenic.

Hahahaha. Love this and I remember all of it. I told this to my teen son during the Super Bowl and he looked at me like I was nuts. Had no clue that Snoop started out as murdering gang banger rap artist. And has lived this long and seems to be good people.
Signed,
Middle aged Mom

Because he was coming during Tupac time and was a Crip. It was a shooty time back then.

Why not both?

Are you serious? Do you know know that rappers are frequently shot at? Have you not seen a news item in the past 30 years?

He's funny and much smarter than he appeared, or his management is.

I thought it was rich when he criticized WAP.

His cookbook is excellent. Highly recommend.

I liked him before and the appreciation seems to grow every year. I would also like to see more of him creatively but not commercials. An irreverant talk show would be good but not necessarily new music though that never disappoints.
