Bikini area hair removal?

I don't allow her too, as I find this recent trend of complete baldness wildly inappropriate, but is it really as widespread as she says it is? I might reconsider my rule if she isn't doing it to be inappropriate.

DD ahs been removing it all since she first got it, around 11. Yes, it is the norm in her age group. It is not about boys or sex, it's just a ridiculous new grooming standard. As PPs said, I may not like it, and I've mentioned ingrown hairs and yeast infections, but it's her body and it's important for her to feel that she owns it.

Wow, I can't even believe she asked permission (assuming she uses a razor and not a more expensive method). I'm glad you had a chance to talk over the pitfalls with her, but let it be. It's her body and not permanent. She may very well decide it's not worth the effort or discomfort after a few attempts.

DD is 19 and does not remove hair except getting bikini line waxed during summer.

She is also not sexually active or has a boyfriend. I think that makes it easier for her.

Doesn't it itch like crazy to shave it?

It itches when the hair stubble starts to grow.

Nothing cooler than scratching your crotch all the time!

I started shaving when it showed up. I didn't want it there

My dd is only six but if what you claim is true I find it really troubling.

Dd started shaving her legs when she was ten so has had access to razors since then. She is twelve now and I do not know what areas of her body she shaves. For Christmas I have gotten her a philipps lady shave, it can be used wet or dry so if she does or is thinking of shaving it might be easier than a razor.

What on earth makes young girls want to shave their pubic hair off? I was pleased when I started getting it as it was a sign I was becoming a woman. Now they seem to want to look like ten yr old girls.

I have out of control hair - so bad that I can't wear shorts without a wax and shaving causes all sorts of burn and rashes.

If my daughters have my same issues, I will encourage and pay for waxing early and often in the hopes that it will die out/become manageable as they get older.

is that called virgin hair waxing? Start waxing early on the within a few years it never grows back.
Do salons have a minimum age for waxing?.

I get all my hair waxed because Ut just feels better to me. I'm in dire need of a wax now and I hate the feeling of so much hair down there. It's just more comfortable.

I would not be concerned about my daughter wanting to shave or wax it all off.
I do wonder what you mean with she's doing it to be inappropriate. Is she planning to whip off her pants in class after going bold?

I know many women in their 50s who have long shaved it off. I got laser hair removal and loved it. To me it is far cleaner and more comfortable.
