Yes, of all the popular thrillers of the last few years, I thought this one was the best. I listened to the audiobook, which was quite good.

I really liked it too. It got a lot of criticism and the author turned out to be quite the weirdo, but I really thought it was one of the better ones of the past few years.

I just finished The Final Girls Support Group by Grady Hendrix - it's almost more horror than thriller, but it was a wild ride. I liked Riley Sager's The Final Girls, too.

I’m a thriller junkie and have read almost everything mentioned above. With Riley Sagar and Ruth Ware I have certain favorites and others I wasn’t crazy about - just personal preference.

For other others that do really well on the amazon charts but don’t necessarily get the mainstream attention, I really love Freida McFadden, and less so but still decent, Kierstin Modglin thrillers.

Other authors that have decent thrillers, some better than others - Kimberly McCreight, Loreth Ann White, KL Slater, BA Paris, Shari LaPena.

These are more a combo mystery/thriller but I really enjoyed
The Damage by Caitlin Wahrer
Once There Were Wolves by Charlotte McConaghy
The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave
The Survivors by Jane Harper
The Lost Girls and The Distant Dead by Heather Young
THe Girl from WIdow Hills by Megan Miranda

I'm very picky about thrillers. I hate when the author adds a bizarre, out of left field twist at the end. It gained popularity after the Gone Girl craze and it's grown stale.

I don't know if crime fiction counts as "thriller" but my favorite author is Karin Slaughter. She's excellent.

Alice Feeney is one of my favorite authors for thrillers.

Other recent favorites:
The Dangerous Kind by Deborah O'Connor. It's an overseas publisher so it can be hard to find but it's so good!!
No Exit by Taylor Adams
The Chain by Adrian McKinty
The Nothing Man by Catherine Ryan Howard
Falling by T.J. Newman
The Good Sister by Sally Hepworth
The Night Swim by Megan Goldin
Thirteen by Steve Cavanagh
The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson
The Whisper Man by Alex North
Our House by Louise Candlish
The Snowman by Jo Nesbo
