Netflix: The Night Agent

Based on the book of the same name. We binged 7 episodes last night and will finish the final three today.

Be set formulaic and mediocre acting, but a fine diversion compared to most entertainment on television.

Another series set in DC, but clearly filmed in Canada.

I just started watching last night and I’m enjoying it.

I love the badass Asian lady boss! Oh how I wish I could use some of her lines at my office!

Guy boss asserting power: “I’m not comfortable with you blah blah blah.”

Lady Badass: “Well why don’t you come over here and I’ll rub circles on your back and then you can Fu#% Off …”

Can someone give me a quick summary of the tone? Is it a comedy? Drama? Thriller? SOmething like Designated Survivor? Veep? "iF you liked _____, you'll like this"?

FBI/Spy/White House drama with a plot centered in Washington with a mix of dirty politicians and international bad guys. Cute lead actor.

If you liked The Bodyguard (UK series), you’ll like this.

I loved this show. Never even heard of the book. Implausible but fun (well, maybe not that implausible after our Capitol building was literally invaded 2 years ago and with every sign that it was an inside job). Loved the backstory of the cybersecurity girl and her FBI partner.

The side plots with the Secret Service guy and the VP's daughter were a bit boring, but it all comes together nicely in the end.

Yes! He’s well-equipped to have a good career based on this role. Ditto for the Asian lady.

Rose looks like the actress who played the Indian from the Twilight series who was also in the Dexter reboot.

Yes, I kept thinking, that looks like Peter Gallagher but it's not. I thought several actors seemed familiar, but I haven't watched any of the shows they are in.

I started watching last night and am now on episode 6. I forced myself to work on my taxes instead of watching all day.
