Don't like Ann curry as cohost

I can't stand Ann Curry. Period. (Actually, I can't find one person I know that can watch her). She is too gooey and too 'much'. Savannah is also no good. She just doesn't fit the mold. You have got to promote Amy Robach. She is fantastic. She is talented, gorgeous, easy to watch on TV and a real treat. I hope you don't lose her to another network. You had better act promptly--she is worth getting up to watch, and she works with Matt Lauer perfectly--they are a real great fit. Please get rid of Ann and Savannah and move Amy to the top--and of course, keep her good friend, Natalie. Alan Director, Portland, Oregon

Ann's choice of clothes is fun to watch. Sometimes her tops look like nightgowns or camisoles. If she is trying to be professional, why does she wear those silly tops?

Whenever she does an interview we just switch to channel 5 news. They are funnier.

Did you see her dress on the day of the 60th anniversary? She had a dress made with the Today show logo on it. It was terrible and looked like a Halloween costume. She also wore red pumps as did Natalie, who is normally well dressed.

Also - I can tell you as a long time freelancer for NBC and the Today show - that she is a complete diva pain and why they would give her this job the world may never know.....that is until someone climbs to the top of the building next door to prove how they feel!

NBC limits on how long you can freelance for them, and this statement above is very different from what I have heard from other NBC employees...

Cannot stand Ann Curry as co-host on Today. She seems completely fake in everything she does; her saccarine (sp) personality is enough to almost make me stop watching the show altogether. NBC, please re-consider your choices.

I was just watching and thinking this...

I cringed the second I found out Ann would become a cohost of the Today show. She's certainly beautiful, but comes across as anything but genuine and a camera hog! It seems that she's only happy when she's in the spotlight. I no longer watch the Today show since she took over Meredith's role. I'm curious to see what the ratings have done since Meredith left.

I can't stand her. Her faux concern (furrowed brow, serious face) when interviewing people comes across as condescending and completely insincere.

Granted, all the morning shows are dumb as hell, but I still find that I tune in occasionally if only to wonder at how little it takes to entertain us Americans.

I can't stand Ann Curry....She is the worst interviewer I have ever seen! My feeling is the producers didn't really want her as co-anchor because they would have promoted her earlier and not brought in Meredith Viera. They must have felt some pressure when Meredith decided to leave to promote her. I often wonder who Ann knows or is related to who helps her keep her position at NBC. I think she brings the show down. Natalie Morales would have been a much better choice than to have Ann Curry's condescending tone in the morning. I absolutely cringe when she is interviewing anyone. She really doesn't even seem prepared, she says "UMMMM" or "UHHHH" so many times while interviewing. That is something we all learn NOT to do in debate or speech class while in middle or high school. PLEASE find a new co-anchor. I can't stand much more of her.

I have to believe this entire thread is from 1 or 2 feverish posters--I CANNOT FATHOM why a secure, intelligent person would be so upset by Ann Curry, of all people who seems to be a concerned, dedicated journalist. I don't get this at all. You bitches need to get jobs.

....and yet here you are posting. Hmmm, do you not have a job?

Weird. I don't care for Ann Curry as co-host either for all the same reasons. I don't care for the masculine weekend one either. But, Jenna Bush, bless her heart, is de facto the worst on air personality I have ever seen. I feel like I am watching myself in middle school.

Ann is smart with a lot of depth of experience with national/international news reporting etc. Granted she is said to be one of the most sincere, kind-hearted people, but she needs to be reassigned back to her old position. She was much better at reading the news at the news desk and on special assignment. A position that does not require sponteneity, spunk, fluidity or forced conversation. Please put the bright, cheerful, educated, sassy and intellectually-engaging Savannah Guthrie in as Co-Anchor! Her chemistry with Matt and overall personality are much better suited for the position. And makes for a more highly watchable, entertaining and informative program.

I am sad about this thread.

I don't hate her. But this article says she's soon to be fired.
