I am not getting into the question of what level of alcohol exposure is safe at different ages, but I think extending this to include the entire period of breastfeeding is a little silly. While a child is inside of you, they are of course exposed to any alcohol you drink. However drinking while breastfeeding does NOT necessarily lead to alcohol exposure, as there are plenty of ways to enjoy a drink while breastfeeding and still insure that the alcohol is not making it's way into the milk you give your baby.
