just quit my job to sah... so why am i all of the sudden regretful?

My mom went through the same thing when she chose to retire this year....she's been talking about it for years. 6 months later and she is finally really enjoying it....

like someone else said--big change is hard and can be scary---but it often is for the better.

I, personally, was too hormonal to make such a big decision 3 months out (I was crying my eyes out and telling my DH there was no way i could go back to work after 4 month mat leave)---but I had a job where I only had to go in 3 days a week. I really enjoyed the time apart as an adult....however; if it had to be 5-days a week for 8 full hours I don't think I could have done it either.

You probably didn't intend for this, but please realize that statement is offensive to working mothers. I am a working mother, and I am raising my own child. Noone else is doing it for me.

Give it a rest already!!!!!

I'm a working mother with a child in daycare, and I'm not at all offended by this statement.

OP is just expressing her preference. She's not insulting mine or anyone else's.

If you're offended, say so. But don't think that all of us working mothers out there are as defensive and thin-skinned as you are!
