"I love mustaches" tee shirt - does this suggest oral sex or am I being paranoid?

Anonymous
My mom once took little cardboard squares that had fallen out of a board game from my room and had them analyzed for LSD. Some of you posters would totally consider the same, right? OMG, the conspiracies on these boards. Look, mustache rides were so 90's, okay? These days, hipster / band boys have mustaches and beards. We don't know if they're ironic or if we've now moved into the post-ironic period of mustaches, but they've been here about a decade now. Like everything hipster, it's hopped over into the mainstream and has been somewhat homogenized. It's slick marketing and kind of weird, possibly annoying even, but unlikely to mean I want oral sex.

PP who thinks that the mustache only arrives on the man after he gets a mustache ride? I don't even know where to start there.

OP, I'd probably say no to the shirt and point to this thread. Tell DD you don't want her wearing the shirt because a bunch of pearl clutching oldies from DCUM might think your tween hearts sitting on older boys faces.

I mustache you a question, but I'll shave it for later.

OP,

The second shirt refers to oral sex, too.

The source of all righteous power; the facial hair style of the sophisticated man.

It's also great for stimulating the clitoris during cunnilingus, or as the kids call it now, munching box.

I think, if you have to ask, then the answer is probably yes.

That doesn't cut it

I couldn't agree more. What prompted me to search the net was an ad from Kohls with a picture of a 8 yr old looking girl wearing a tshirt "I love mustaches" -- an adult perv could get the wrong idea.

Yikes - should I worry that during church my 8 yr old drew handlebars mustaches on all the people in his Sunday church program? What does that say about the Good Samaritan?

Since all his artwork this summer includes mustaches - from dogs to Maryland crabs - all complete with curly handlebar mustaches, should I just give up on him being chaste? Seriously, I just bought $8 neon mustache tattoos from Chocolate Moose. I thought it was all in fun.

No reason for you to be the clueless parent. Look at this, the shirt got a rip, and needed to be discarded.

If I saw a tee shirt with "I love Mustaches" on it I probably wouldn't think a thing of it.

I don't understand WHY a 9-16 year old girl would have any experience with "mustaches" (and I use that term in the most innocent way) such that they would want to express that they "love" them. That's what's concerning about this type of saying.

I don't know whether there is a sub-text that is sexual or not. But, even if it is taken at "face" value (no pun intended), why would a young girl, a tween or a teen be saying that she likes them? It's just icky to think of my 9 year old "loving" something that is found on men.

I did face-painting at a local sports event this season (once a month for a five months.) And all the girls who were older- (preteen/ adolescent) wanted handlebar mustaches, I can't tell you how many I painted- there are funny, kids liked them! It is definitely a trend that has nothing to do with oral sex people... (unless of course the word "ride" follows)

My dad always had facial hair, I was fond of it cause to me it represented my dad. Some of you ladies need to get your own mustache rides and chill...

They see kids wearing the tee shirts at school and they want to get one, too. It seems like a silly passing fad that will be sooo over by the end of the year. Then onto the next thing.

Jesus, not this thread again.

Again I say unto thee:

Nothing wrong with this shirt (except for the fact that you're probably a dirty hipster and you probably shouldn't wear this if you're over a C cup).

"I like oral sex so much, I'm gonna wear a shirt advertising it in the hopes that someone will give me some. Bonus points if he has a rockin stache."

"I've no idea who this afro'd gentleman is because I'm an ignorant youth. I just saw this at [Overpriced Clothing Boutique] and thought it suitably ironic enough to fit in with the rest of my hipster aesthetic."

"I like oral sex. Also, I don't understand why my mother is ashamed of my life choices."

"I listen to obscure obnoxious bands and drink my cheap shitty beer out of champagne glasses because I think it's funny"

"I like pie. Fur pie. Fur pie between a girl (or guy)'s legs. What I'm saying is I like oral sex. Who wants to sleep with me?"

There. I hope that cleared things up for you all.
