And speaks volumes to the poor coaching at NL.

The girls at NL (at least the good ones) will all leave for Cap Blue/Orange in a year. That is a fact.

Agree. Would not be surprised if some leave next year for Stars to get into the pipeline early.

Is it true that Stars is a feeder for Cap? i thought it was an "anonymous" tryout...

anyone know what stars 29 is ranked and where they practice?

Always has been a feeder. Going to stars gets you more on the radar to be seen earlier by capital coaches. Doesn't mean they won't take non-stars players as pride often has the majority but it is beneficial.

They have several excellent players who will make Capital. No need to go to Stars. Pride would be a better option at this stage but will do fine staying at NL for one more year. Just don’t stay in HS.

what is it validating? MS lacrosse about the girls getting better so they r prepared for HS and recruiting. Even with a loss the NL girls are developing.

Maybe some are developing, but the team isn’t. Lots of individuals and not a lot of team. I put that on the coaches.

Correct. This team is not improving as a whole. They beat Hero's White in NGLL 13-8 last year and lost last weekend 11-6. That's quite the swing.

As girls grow in size and skill, the game needs to adapt, and that is through team work and ending the me-ball game. NL isn't doing that. Charging is more of an issue and one-note wonders need to start learning how to help make plays rather than shooting their less-than-stellar shot at the goal. And those players need to have more tools. They need to pass, make plays, and go for the assist rather than looking to be the scoring star. Draws are a problem as well. Bad habits have been developed and encouraged, by coaches and parents.

It would be very interesting to see the Capital track NL girls leave "me" ball and start to build chemistry with the Stars girls on a similar track playing more balanced lacrosse.

Don’t discount going to a Maryland team. Not all of these girls will want to play for Capital.
