This all depends on where you live in MoCo... Pride and Stars would require traveling into VA which for a 530-6 pm practice would be a nightmare. You would be better off (again depending on where you are coming from) traveling to Howard County for Heros, or Baltimore for M&D and Skywalkers. Rebels is also an option as the previous poster mentioned |

PP - I did mean HoCo. Still a better option than Rebels (who also has no 28 team). I absolutely would choose Hero's if it's a viable commute. Even 29 white has had a lot of success.
Rebels will have tryouts after everyone else is done so as a last resort you've got that... |

| Hero's 2029 team has been ranked #1 in the country consistently the past 3 years. A player on a B team in Montgomery county would not be near that level to make Hero's Green (which is the A team) but possibly their White (B) team. It is an amazing club that is well run and very focused on player development and teamwork. Even many of their B team high school players go on to play in college. |

As a parent with a daughter on a MD A team (one of the top three)... Do whatever you can for your DD to be on Capital, Skywalkers, Hero's, or M&D. That is if HER goal is for her to get good coaching, top competition, and/or options to play at the next level. You can't go wrong with any of the four. ALL of them have PROVEN track records year in and year out. Just finishing all of this out, and driving a bit further than if we stayed local proved more than worth it. BUT everyone's individual goals and situations are unique. Good luck to all of you as you traverse this crazy process. It goes quick! We're lucky we'll be able to continue this for hopefully an additional 4 years... |
