I noticed i still had one at the back of my head, it started getting bigger so i went to the doctor and he took my blood to see if it was my thiroid and it wasnt, it was gettin worse i had paths coming from the bald patch and we went back to the doctor about a week later and got liquid to put on the bald bits, lots of my hair was still coming out it was gettin really bad so we went to this place and got a wig, i now wear a wig but i still have really thin strands of hair, it does get itchy and i have like red spots all over my head, is this signs of it growing back or something?? Its been such a horrible start to the year can i please get help or something, im going to see a dermotoligist in march x

What is your diet? What do you eat everyday? Have you check allergies?

Ok this is the truth Squaric acid works and most doctors will not proscribe it.My son lost all his hair. We tried diet shots, every kind of cream and vitamins Nothing worked We even tried light therapy for a year. I did research and Squaric acid is widely used in Europe with incredible results. I was able to find a doctor at Hopkins to allow us to try this treatment. It is intense basically burns the scalp and blisters After 2 months of weekly application my so has a full head of hair

I have had it two years now.. started as two little circles on my beard under the chin. Now it has spread all facial hair nearly all hair on head and now starting on chest.... I have just started losing nose hair and my right eyelashes and part of right eye brow... I have no clue what is causing it all but I am ready for it to be done.. it is stressing me out constantly worrying about losing my eyebrows... im fine with my hair I just shave it bald anyway now but I really miss my beard eyelashes and eyebrow.

I was 18 when I started loosing my hair. It started with a quarter sized patch on the back of my head and slowly started expanding. After watching my waist long hair slowly fall out, and having treatment after treatment fail, I made the hard decision to shave my head. I wore wigs for about a year, and found comfort in being able to have fun by choosing a different color and style for any day of the week. During that year I made it a personal goal to build up my self confidence, eliminate unneeded stress, eat healthy, and become a more positive woman. Once I let go, and accepted that I was who I was, my hair started to grow back! It has been two years since I started loosing my hair, and I'm happy to say I'm alopecia free, with shoulder legnth hair. I know it's scary and painful loosing your hair, but worrying wont make it any better, trust me! Hair is hair, it won't change how your friends and loved ones see you, you'll still be beautiful, and you will still be you! Hang in there

My alopecia was triggered by child birth, losing large handfuls of hair, then soon after all of my hair fell out. It was sudden and traumatic, but once it all fell out, it started to regrow. I had one round of cortisone injections and used about a month and a half of men's strength rogaine. It's been almost 2 months since all my hair fell out, and my hair looks like I have buzz cut. But before it grew back, I had to come to terms with the reality that I might not be able to grow it back. Good luck to all!

My DD (age 6) lost a very large patch of hair one Fall after being placed on some prescription allergy medicine. When we stopped, the hair grew back. The following Spring she had to go back on the medicine, and it happened again. We took her off the medicine and it started growing back. We told the doctor we thought the alopecia was related to the allergy medicine and the doctor told us we're crazy.

This is a relative. She lost her eyebrows and lost hair behind her ears. She's taken Synthroid her entire adult life. She had everything tested and learned she needed to reduce the amount of Synthroid.

Hi I'm 14, and I lost all my hair. Eyebrows, eyelashes, everything. It is scary Ik I've been dealing with this for like a year and a half and yes it is very challenging but it will get better. I don't know if youve lost it or haven't but try not to stress yourself out because stress can make it come out even more and just maintain a balanced diet bc diet is a large part of it.

This happened to me when I was 12 (30+ years ago). my mom brought me to a dermatologist who gave me weekly injections of something - no idea what - but she injected it directly into the bald spot. All of my hair grew back within a couple of months and I never had a re-occurance of the issue.

All that were stressed was it due to being overwhelmed by bills that were not stop and not being able to relieve your stress??

I have allow alopecia areata. Started at 25 - high stress career. Quarter sized spots. Maybe 3-4 at a time, could usually hide them in my thick hair but they drove me insane- literally had to go on anxiety meds. Disappeared when I met my now husband - showed up out of the blue with three young kids- a gluten free diet and cortisone shots keep it at bay. I know how horribly anxiety producing it is and I wish you all well!!!
