Love it, but I'm leaving it. |
I like that the service is great and the restaurants are clean. The lemonade as previously stated is the best. I also like the grilled chicken wraps. As for their waffle fries? They are superb especially dipped in buffalo sauce. |
+1. And I even lean liberal. |
+2 I support the owner's right to his opinion. And I LOVE chick fil a. It's the only fast food I'll eat. |
Funny, I craved their chicken nuggets when I was pregnant. Probably because I needed something non specific - just salty and greasy. Now I'm back to thinking it's gross |
They use peanut oil so not only aren't they gay friendly, but they're not allergy friendly either :p |
Holy crap, I ate so much Chick-Fil-A chicken when I was pregnant, I should have bought stock in the company. It was by far my biggest craving. |
Yes. Their salads are great and their facilities are always clean...which is much more than I can say about other fast food chains. |
Its OK and I've only eaten it twice. There is one in Montgomery Mall but if we go to a mall its usually on a Sunday when its closed. There used to be on our route of out town in VA but again we were always leaving on a Sunday and it was closed. I wouldn't go out of my way for it and since its been closed whenever we did try to stop, it just never comes to mind as option. |
I never liked the food. Their chicken sandwiches always felt heavy in my stomach and felt like that for hours and hours. As a kid, I enjoyed getting the waffle fries but only because they looked neat, didn't think they tasted that great. Preferred BK's fries for taste. |
I hear they are good but have never eaten there. We go to McDonalds and others a couple times a month but a chicken-only place doesn't appeal much to me.
The whole story brings up challenging questions about corporations, profits and our interconnected, globalized economy. For instance, I buy my electricity from PEPCO and they turn around and give much of it to generating companies, which means COAL generating companies. I'm sure that a lot of my money ends up with American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), which cranks out awful conservative legislation to be pushed by their "friends" in state legislatures. How much of my electric bill ends up with ALEC? How many anti-Obama TV ads am I paying for? Who knows. The situation with Chick-Fil-A is just a visible ripple in an invisible ocean of corporate money washing over our government. |
Yes, I do. But I grew up in the south where it's very popular, and worked there in college. It was a great company to work for. They awarded scholarships to their employees, and of course, we always had Sunday off. Owners were very accommodating to school and personal schedules. I made great friends working there. I can attest to how clean those restaurants are because I had to clean them daily for 3 years. They have MANY more healthy options that most fast food restaurants- several salads, wraps, grilled sandwiches, grilled nuggets, fresh fruit cups. The lemonade is, yes, delicious, and hand made in every single store. I love their diet lemonade still. It is really a "higher end" fast food restaurant.
I don't care to boycott the restaurant. I don't have a problem with gay people getting married, but I just don't care enough what this company thinks about any issue to boycott them over it- nor did I care enough to purposely go today for "Chick-fil-A support day" and stand in line for 30 minutes to buy a sandwich. I will eat there when I feel like it, which is every now and then. |
DD adored the Chik-fil-a cow walking around Montgomery Mall urging people to eat more chicken! |
One every 551 square miles. |
I've never eaten there. I wouldn't try it unless I knew where they got the chicken they serve and how those chickens are raised (yes, I'm one of those). |
