SOO Sad to hear that she was not on air any longer. She was funny and made the commute that much more fun. It is just not the same. She made my mornings something to look forward to- Weather and Traffic on the 8's just isnt the same.

I was incredibly sad to learn of the contract decisions when they were announced last year. Yes, TOP had outsourced much of their traffic reporting to another firm. They didn't come to agreement when TOP created their own in house traffic department. Lisa was with the other firm (and she has consistently said how devasted she was that they she couldn't continue with TOP). Bob M (in the afternoon) was a TOP employee so not impacted. I think Lisa's contract is for a few more years with the other firm.

Lisa got me to work every morning, and I'll miss her ridiculous comments, as corny as she was. "Heavens to Betsy!"

we miss Lisa Baden We waited for 2 weeks to go by, thinking & hoping that she might be on vacation, but it's the 16th of Feb, & I did my research just to find out she's no longer w/ WTOP. It was a treat listening to her every morning/afternoon! It's her upbeat and happy disposition that makes traffic news seems better & lighter. Too bad a lot of listeners out there find her annoying...could it be because they are having some personal issues, that anything fun & light is being perceived as annoying?

We called her Inner Loop Lisa at the office and do miss her. And her replacement, Rita Kessler, although she seems accurate and on top of the traffic situation, has an annoying voice and is not as pleasant as Lisa to listen to

My alarm clock was set on an "eight" so that I could hear Lisa's cheerfulness first thing in the morning. I miss her reports. She's really good at her job and I'll bet that it's harder than it seems...I'll start tuning in to Channel 7.

No, you're not the only one who's glad that's she's gone. Her ad-lib nonsense was totally unecessary, not to mention she has said some pretty inappropriate things during her traffic reports, when mentioning accidents. There were occasions when I would actually stop in the middle of getting ready in the morning to head off to work, and look at the radio in disbelief; she needs to stick to traffic reporting, without all of the VERY smart-alecky comments, jibes, glib, dry, sarcastic....ok, ok, I'll stop now, her reporting really got on my nerves on otherwise great mornings at my house. I found it very hard to believe, with an otherwise, professional station that they didn't pull the reigns on her "wanna be, pseudo-stand up comedy routines" day in and day out. Hopefully, when her contract is up with the other company she's obligated to, someone will urge her to read some of the listener's comments...especially the negative ones, and maybe she'll take this feedback to heart and come back to WTOP humbler, and with a bit more professionalism. To sum up: sorry...but her gone is a breath of fresh air.

For those of you that thought Lisa was annoying, I would suggest you have bigger problems (than listening to her). Take a break! She has great charisma and a sense of humor that cuts through the absolute boredom of driving to work in the Washington DC area. I really miss her on WTOP. Shame on you WTOP.

WTOP is really so wierd. Half the stuff they report isn't really what you'd call news, usually along the lines of "A Northwest DC man found a SQUIRREL in his SOCK DRAWER!"

Oh my, thank god this idiot traffic lady is GONE! I would turn the radio down or off whenever she came on the air for traffic. How annoying can one person be??? Really. Her voice inflections made me feel like I was 6 yrs old! "You're in traaafiiiiiic pooooooor youuuuuu! Too baaad!" Good riddance!
