And what IS up with WTOP? Sometimes I wonder if it's a bunch of kids in the basement of the science building running that station. Que to nothing, commercials running over each other, unintended silences. Say it ain't so! I found Lisa annoying at times but grew to like her. Her style helped to break the monotony and really helped me to listen to the report. I thought something was up in the past week or so when she read the report in a much more mechanical style. It was as if she was reprimanded for her usual shtick, or just didn't care to be on that day. It really stood out....now she's gone. That's too bad.

Listen carefully to the traffic reports and you will hear a lot of new people. It isn't Lisa that left WTOP, but WTOP created their own traffic department and Lisa decided not to come over. Bob has always been a WTOP employee, but not the rest of the traffic people, until today.

Did you read the article? She has contractual obligations that prevent her from working directly for WTOP. It was not her choice.

Very sorry to hear that Lisa Baden is gone. I agree with earlier pps-- at first I found her annoying, but she grew on me. She had a knack for making people actually enjoy traffic reports.
