If I were you I would also have alarm bells going off and start looking around. The one thing I've learned above all else -- trust your instincts. If they're telling you something is off then they're probably right and this is your most precious possession on earth. You don't want to trust your baby with anyone who you are not 100% comfortable and thrilled to pieces with because you'll worry yourself to death anyway.

Find someone who clearly loves children, and loves your child. When you see that connection you'll know it. And then even if they can't be held all the time you know that the provider truly cares about and respects your child and will take the best care of them possible -- and hold them whenever possible.
