I always thought that the likes of Mike Pence and Mike Johnson, probably because they were brought up to be ultra-religious (of the humble variety, not televangelist kind), and have had morals shoved down their throats so long that when push comes to shove...


... they do the right thing, even in the midst of and incredibly hypocritical and morally bankrupt political group, and under the most intense pressure to cave.

Counter point. Boy speaker is speaking to donors, trying to look moderate. he sees the writing on the wall. MAGA went too far on abortion and will lose in Nov. Trump is going to lose. Mikey is pivoting to stay in power. His seat is 100% safe.

Mike Pence did the right thing on January 6th, once he figured out what it was.

Mike Johnson? This aid package was supposed to be passed months ago. It was delayed for no reason. Just dysfunction. Admirable? Not really.

Mike Johnson didn’t get his first intel briefing last week. He’s worried about keeping his job. This should have been brought to the floor last year.

He is one of the many people who helped create the political nightmare in which he swims. He is as extreme as just about anyone else in his party and I’m sick of giving cookies to terrorists who have no problem wrecking things.
