RFK Jr. Running as independent

Ask yourself if Trump or Biden wouldn’t embarrass themselves on a 2-3 hour podcast by either sounding like complete morons, sounding out of their depth, or sounding like they had dementia. Why are you okay electing someone who can’t hold a conversation and not speak intelligently without cue cards?

Disagree with RFK’s politics and call him a conspiracy theorist but at least he doesn’t come across as an idiot when he’s asked to speak off the cuff.

If he is not an idiot than he is well aware that he functions as a spoiler in this election. Even an idiot can understand that.

Guess what? I’m a R and am voting Biden with enthusiasm.

I lean R, but can't vote for Trump, so will vote for RFKJr with enthusiasm. My best-case outcome is he wins enough electoral college votes to prevent anyone from getting 270, though I doubt that will happen.

He will get zero

Name a state that he could win. Name a state in which he could get even 10% to throw away their vote on him.

That's the expected outcome. My second-best case is that solid Ds and Rs worry mightily. My third-best case is that the election results undermine any claim to a mandate and, in the next election, both parties put up better candidates (i.e., with the super low criteria of "sense of decorum of the office" and "does not come across as addled").

But RFK Jr isn’t a better candidate or a reasonable alternative or representing any cause or constituency that is being overlooked. He is just a delusional egomaniac with a famous name. His voters will all be delusional kooks, not dangerous sociopaths like a lot of Trump’s voters, but equally delusional in their own weird ways.

RFK Jr.'s running mate Nicole Shanahan is staunchly anti-IVF and calls it "one of the biggest lies being told about women’s health"

You realize that the outcome of that will be a Trump presidency, right? The House (even if controlled by Dems) would almost certainly vote for Trump.

She could have been conceived herself by IVF.

Doesn't seem that way from the article. Seems like she is skeptical of the corporate and financial interests involved.

She called it "UnCOnVeNTioNaL ReSEaRCH" when it's been safely and effectively been used for around 50 years already. She said it was "being sold irresponsibly" even though she was, herself advised she would not be a good candidate for it. She said it is being pushed at the expense of other fertility treatments - which is false, because when seeking fertility help IVF is usually NOT the first thing you're advised to try and instead they usually try other, less extreme things first.

She sounds stridently weird to me.

Yes. Run a better candidate. My vote for Kennedy is not an endorsement of anything he stands for, because I don’t expect him to win, and I don't care if he does or doesn’t. It’s an expression of deep disappointment with both the Ds and Rs for running two tremendously terrible candidates.

Your brain is broken if you can't see which candidate is more tremendously terrible than all the others. Elections are almost always about choosing the least past option. You are very inexperienced to not realize this but eventually you will see that how is almost always is. Your tantrum will not change that
