My kid is at RM. I don’t think she’d say she feels completely safe. They are all acutely aware of the issues with fights, kids with guns, etc. on the other hand, I don’t think she feels particularly threatened and this isn’t her top worry in HS. She keeps her eyes open and avoids anyplace that looks like trouble brewing. But that doesn’t mean it’s not an issue and the bathrooms being locked is definitely an issue for all kids. They need more security guards posted outside the bathrooms.

Do you follow what's going on in the county? Was it the admin's decision to rid of SROs? They wanted to keep them. ONE CommunityEngagementOfficer CEO for multiple schools isn't going to work in solving any bathroom safety and security issues.
