I don’t know that I can believe the drunk theory. If she was so drunk that she couldn’t drive, wouldn’t someone have stopped her before she got to her car with keys? Wouldn’t she have probably been stumbling and slurring words? Surely someone would’ve taken her keys from her, if she was that sloppy drunk, right?

Why not? She was just with them and I think many drunk drivers attempt to 'call friends' to fix situations rather than call EMS.

She was only driving a very short distance on her own property to another house. Her friends were all staying over at the ‘guest’ house. She left to drive back to the main house as her son was there sleeping.
