Over 1 Million Enrolled in Federal ACA Exchange -- Where's the Crow Eater?

Anonymous
These were Obama's words back in 2011:
“I know there’s a lot going on in the world, and the news is filled with images of the Middle East and Japan,” Obama said during an appearance at UPS. “But you should know that keeping the economy growing and making sure jobs are available is the first thing I think about when I wake up every morning. It’s the last thing I think about when I go to bed each night.”

Has anyone told him that it takes more than "thinking about" it to actually make a difference?

This is the dumbest comment. Of course he means he is thinking about solutions. Good grief.

Think maybe the PP meant that he needs to do something instead of think about it????

Yes, it is now the time to declare Mission Acomplished, Obamacare has signed up a million people.

They must be going through a lot of Champagne in the White House amidst this celebratory season.

Correct.

Um, based on what? Because if we're just going on truthiness, then I would bet that Obamacare directly saved the lives of over 2 million widows and orphans, and won WWII. Maybe also landed on the moon. So, I am convinced that it is the greatest thing we have ever had, and anyone who opposes it hates America and capitalism.

Because THESE people are the ones who had insurance before this idiotic law was passed - we shall see - if the administration even shares this data. They haven't been terribly forthcoming with their information.

Stand by my post. Dumb comment. Like you don't try to think about ways to fix a giant issue before you actually DO something. DUH.

Ok, how about this -- please cite evidence supporting your claim that half of the million people who signed up for Obamacare lost their original coverage because of Obamacare. You're the one making the claim. It's on you to provide the data.

As soon as the administration comes out with numbers and stats, I will hop right on that. Note that I began my statement with.... "I would bet....."

Right. And then you go on to say that you are "convinced that many of these enrolled were previously insured." So, what are you basing that conviction on?

Simply the fact that these people, who were cancelled because of Obamacare, were previously paying for their own insurance. Most of them are NOT going to go uninsured since they have previously demonstrated that health insurance is important to them. Their options in terms of getting new coverage are limited..... so, they will likely enroll on the exchanges. Wasn't this the administrations' plan all along?????

like a tax cut? Yeah that's the ticket!

The only people I know whose plans were cancelled are on employer-provided ones, so they just picked another option and lost no coverage at all.

I offer that since apparently anecdotes are data on this thread. Well, actually, baseless convictions are data, I guess I am classing up the joint by offering anecdotes.

I really don't think anyone needs to be offering any excuses or eating crow except for the "capable"? and "experienced?" people who were selected and paid "millions"? to developed the website.

Yes, the roll out went really well. No political damage done.

Champagne for everyone. Only 11 more months until the delays are done and we get roll out #2!
