Saw this one on the general parenting board: 114ICE. I think it takes adult tickets down to $21.

There are discount tickets at Costco for $4 off (adults and kids).

The 114ICE discount worked beautifully, even for a Saturday date. I was buying for 10 adults, 2 kids and saved $70! Thank you!

Is the show really worthwhile? It's getting mixed reviews. So if you like Cirque du Soliel would you like ICE? Or if you like a puppet show would you like ICD?

Just trying to decide if it's worth taking a chance for the price...

Thanks

Look at he prides- you're paying for parking, the tickets, a minimum 1/2 hour wait in a long line (regardless of whatever time your ticket has) and you're in and out let's say 1/2 hour tops.. Not worth it. That is what I'd pay for an amusement park or a play.. just me (and others who have chirped in saying the same thing)

PRIDE takes three dollars off the adult price. it worked for me.

We went last weekend and had a blast! It all depends on how much you do when you're there and if you get you monies worth.

Granted, we deliberately picked opening weekend to avoid the chaos but we had a lovely time. And three and under get in free so we took my three year old and two of her friends.

We got hot chocolate, watched the ice skaters, wandered thru the decorated atrium, rode the train....met the Grinch.

They had an awesome time and we will definitely go back next year.

The parking is expensive though so carpool if you can

Went last year with a 2 1/2 year old, so only had to pay for one adult ticket. Went early in the day during the week so no crowd to deal with. It was good; not "OMG, you HAVE to do this!" but not "totally sucks" either. Nice to do something completely different from our weekly routines. Plan on going again this year; it seems like the Grinch theme will be a little more fun for the now 3 1/2 year old.
If you are going to stay the night, use the special code PARTNER to get a substantial discount.

This is awesome! That PARTNER code takes the rate to $99/night!

I just bought tickets for the family to do ICE tomorrow. The 114ICE code is still working great. Every little bit helps...

thanks for the code and the suggestions. can anyone elaborate more on what else there is to do down there? does time of day matter? was thinking about an early dinner and then going down in the evening.

It really depends on when you are going and how much you are willing to spend. Even though we are local, we are going to spend Thanksgiving there. The buffet is a little pricey, but under 3 is free. I got a great room rate (you don't pay for parking if you are a guest at the hotel). We'll ride the train around the tree, do breakfast with the grinch on Friday morning (under 4 eat free for this), go to ICE (under 4 in free). I'm looking forward to great pictures of the kids under all the Christmas lights. If you go on weekends you can have brunch with Santa.
All of this can be pricey, depending on the day of the week, what coupons you have, how many kids, and what ages.
I went last year during the week. My husband had a conference there so I took my son to see it, and then we got to join my husband for lunch. All around it was a nice treat for my son.
PRIDE coupon works as well.

And there are the fountain shows hourly in the atrium of the hotel, the nightly tree lighting, and the nightly snow fall.
Like others writers put, it really only takes 30 minutes. So if you plan on doing it, plan other activities there as well. The train ride is 3 rides for $5, which isn't bad. And there's a scavenger hunt in the atrium. We didn't find anything last year, so the treasures are well hidden/already found.
Last year, we went early during the week. No lines, no wait, and they let us go down the ice slide multiple times and took our pictures for us using our camera.
If you look at it as a special day, its worth it.
