So many possibilities. Cervical is unlikely, as it’s usually caught early with standard screenings. I think colon or ovarian is more likely, and pancreatic would be the worst possibility. |
BBC saying post-operative tests found cancer.
What would be removed and tested? In her video, she said cancer wasn’t suspected when she went in for surgery but was subsequently detected. |
This is so stunning and sad. She looks so thin. |
Oh no, how awful. I wonder what the surgery was that led to an incidental cancer diagnosis. Wondering if it was a total hysterectomy , due to problematic symptoms, and they noted endometrial cancer or ovarian cancer or something after the fact.
I feel so bad for all the scrutiny they faced the past few weeks. |
It’s none of your business, it’s disgusting she was forced to share something she clearly wasn’t breast to |
OMG. I feel so bad because of all the wild speculation that was going around. |
No. It's also not exactly clear if the abdominal surgery was fixing a separate issue, or if it was part of the effort to test for cancer. |
I feel so bad for her. I hope whatever it was that they caught it early enough for treatment to be effective. I had a casual friend/friend of a friend who passed from advanced stage colon cancer during Covid. It wasn’t caught until it was stage 4 and she lived for about 3 years after her initial diagnosis and passed in her late 40s. |
No. I hope that the tabloids and public respect her right to some privacy. This is hard enough without the media frenzy. |
No wonder William has looked so stunned recently. This is so so awful. |
I doubt she went in for a routine removal of her pancreas. |
If she had a hysterectomy, they would biopsy everything and could find something. She described her treatment as preventative chemotherapy. Listening to bbc now, and that’s what they are discussing as a daily tablet treatment that could be taken at home to “mop up” anything that wasn’t fully removed. |
She's told us all we need to know - hope everyone leaves her alone now |
Based on the surgical timeline, method of discovery, etc, the most likely is something that caused a bowel obstruction. Colon is the most likely typically, but with them not suspecting cancer initially and it not being apparent until post-operative tests, I actually think another form of cancer is more likely. |
