- Harry to the Home Office

The entitlement and arrogance is breathtaking

how do you figure? Reasonable question.

The Home Office is the equivalent to a cabinet-level government agency. Why would Prince Harry need or be entitled to know the name of the government employee who made a reasonable, routine determination of how to use UK government resources? Especially when that decision has been upheld by multiple courts? And when that kind of information is not public in the ordinary course?

That sounds like entitlement to me. And possibly an attempt to intimidate a government employee.

Exactly. It would be like someone trying to get the name of what career FBI employee managed a specific project.

And the Royals put out a formal statement about her doing well today.

No, that was yesterday and just in passing when they mentioned William would oddly miss the funeral.

NO, they did both. The more formal statement came today.

Not really. This unnamed person at Ravec apparently made a decision that the court relied upon in ruling against Harry while having the benefit of remaining anonymous. Apparently that’s ok in the UK but I’m not sure that would fly under our court system’s due process rules unless there are exceptional circumstances (like the person is an undercover informant and disclosing their identity during a court proceeding would put them in danger). It’s not entitled to want to know who provided evidence against you in a court proceeding.

Kate theories in order of likeliness in my opinion:
1. Eating disorder and mental breakdown- ED can lead to issues requiring abdominal surgery, she also wouldn’t be the first Princess of Wales with an ED. The scrutiny lends itself to it.
2. Relationship troubles and she’s playing hardball- William appeared drunk at that one event, only photographed visiting her once.

I don’t think it’s purely “ medical” because I would think her family of origin would seem more concerned.

Agree here. I wouldn’t feel up to vacationing if my sister was seriously ill/in a coma, but I would absolutely go if she had routine surgery with a long recovery time or if she was going through a messy divorce. Wild speculation is a job hazard of being a royal. If she could survive the “waity Katie” days, she’ll survive people joking that she got a BBL.

But I find it disturbing in the context of our general post-truth atmosphere. None of you has any evidence or reliable inside information, whatever online gossip you may follow. But in this and more consequential world events, people are just making up or repeating alternative facts that feel true to them without any actual firm evidence. And suddenly people are saying this is a fine and reasonable way to approach the unknown. Make stuff up and riot in the streets to defend truthy (but not actually valid) rumors.

This unfounded Kate speculation, to me, is just another symptom of our deeply, deeply sick world.

Well said, pp.

What is going on with Kate etc?

Maybe she had a tubal pregnancy. I had a friend whom had one, was close to dying, and was out of office for six months.

Scientologists got names from the IRS and that worked to get them tax-free status and make millions but Harry can’t ask a question?

Where did you get this notion? Pure speculation?

Interesting speculation. I do think it’s something legitimately medical and not PS or a mental health condition (read: eating disorder). My thought never went to organ transplant but rather to complications from something like Crohn’s disease or UC. Maybe she was managing her condition with medications but then her condition worsened and it required the removal of some of her large intestine, or perhaps something came up on a routine or diagnostic colonoscopy.

Agree with all of this. I think she needed a break, and she is definitely playing hardball due to relationship troubles. Were it medical, her parents and siblings would be more visible.

I think she had abdominal surgery and she’ll be visible in a few weeks. I’m going out on a limb here.
