Is this the place on DCUM to discuss the current royal issues?
What is going on with Kate etc? |
yes. if you have any theories - please share! |
There have been 2 other threads that have gotten crazy with speculations and deleted. |
Prince William was just at an event today, a synagogue in London. They don't seem to announce all events on the royal calendar page anymore bc I know it wasn't there yesterday. I think Kate had serious surgery (obviously) but will be back for Easter. |
I think the coma theory is rubbish, but the eating disorder/breakdown theories may have traction. I don’t really believe the relationship trouble theories, but you never know. |
It feels like William was doing damage control today, especially when he made sure to mention Catherine. |
I think she had a kidney transplant, due to some underlying autoimmune issue. It’s hush hush because it might be genetic.
Transplant recovery can have a lot of ups and downs. |
And the Royals put out a formal statement about her doing well today. |
And the Royals put out a formal statement about her doing well today. No, that was yesterday and just in passing when they mentioned William would oddly miss the funeral. |
'I would like that person's name.'
- Harry to the Home Office The entitlement and arrogance is breathtaking |
No, that was yesterday and just in passing when they mentioned William would oddly miss the funeral. NP. They released a statement today. |
how do you figure? Reasonable question. |
Nose job and the bruising is still present |
I don't really understand the point of posters' wild speculation.
But I find it disturbing in the context of our general post-truth atmosphere. None of you has any evidence or reliable inside information, whatever online gossip you may follow. But in this and more consequential world events, people are just making up or repeating alternative facts that feel true to them without any actual firm evidence. And suddenly people are saying this is a fine and reasonable way to approach the unknown. Make stuff up and riot in the streets to defend truthy (but not actually valid) rumors. This unfounded Kate speculation, to me, is just another symptom of our deeply, deeply sick world. |
I hope she's ok! Good for her if she wants to keep it private and they have done a great job of keeping it under wraps. As for the conspiracy theories...I don't get why there are some wild assumptions. She apparently checked into the hospital soon after Christmas and they announced her surgery and expected recovery. Isn't it possible that is all accurate? Maybe the illness is personal enough that she doesn't want people on Good Morning Britain speculating about her organs. And yes "planned surgery" is a carefully chosen phrase. You can "plan" a surgery a week in advance. |
