Mclean exodus

All this ECNL & GA merger stuff is more Real Housewives reality TV and not much about actual soccer

Where will they be going?

ARL - Best option for distance, they rarely make cuts so you need to be elite to be considered and anticipate bigger rosters.
SYC - Best option for those in the konw, not the closest, unless you were already SYC, will field competive teams day 1 and compete for champions league in GA, but its GA and some parents just can't compute the value of a singular girls league.
VDA - Strongest option to build super team, with many top FCV girls already making the switch, its a hike for many families inside the beltway and then there is your take on BP, expect big rosters here too, so probably better of riding out the McBrave option
NVA - Stealth option, chronic underachiever with potential to field multiple strong girls teams, but will be last option because of distance and watered down player pool with two GA clubs in Loudoun as well, better off seeing what McBrave looks like.

VRSC + FCV?... please stop

Calling NVA an underachiever when they've been the most successful DMV ECNL club this fall is crazy.

Instead of pretending to still be a strong brand without competition, why not embrace that the club may have been given a true lifeline to being competitive?

It’s not like Arlington girls are doing any better. ECNL created this mess.

They should have just merged Arlington and McLean and let Brave continue to build and also take in any of those players that may not have made the cut in that merger.

But I guess that still wouldn’t have solved the boys side which isn’t solvable given the number of mlsn teams in this area.

Arlington doesn't need any of this merger noise. They are perfectly comfortable with access to a whole, diverse and affluent county. They will be last ECNL club standing if this is hunger games and there can only be one. Even with that, mediocre is the kindest way to characterize Arlington

Revolution - Strongest teams outside the ECNL for girls at most age groups. 2012 SYC girls possible exception. Still have room for top players that currently hate their ECNL club.

FCV - Big dropoff from the last decade, but this is the only ECNL or GA program where kids can go in large groups. If 10 families wanted to move together from Union or Brave teams, this could be the place.

FCV -

No. That is only relevant to next year's EDP3 team which will have the same kids. GA teams are 75% FCV

Yes, thats what scouts do. And then spread misinformation to uninformed parents that leads to anxiety riddled posts to keep with the Jones, and success 30 team rosters is the outcome, and more money in my pocket

Why would players leave? Serious question. Is it practicing on BRAVE fields is too far? Is it increased roster size? Seems like partnering with BRAVE would make the teams stronger (even if only by a little), so I'm not sure why top players would be leaving.
