Mirena IUD and severe cramping anyone?

| I don't hate the IUD, but after a little over three years I have started cramping...severely. I am working today and am doubled over in pain and unsure what to do. I just made a call into my doctor, but I have black tie event tonight and OF COURSE this is happening today. The last time I cramped up I thought it was a fluke; I took Aleve, which did nothing to alleviate the pain. I'm glad to read this forum and know that I am not alone with this. |

| I Had mine fitted at the end of September, periods are very light now, but I’m getting unbearable cramps before it starts, almost like a labour pain. Also getting the odd migraine which I never had before. |
