Summer co-op for children ages 18 months to 4 years Feb 12, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM — Macomb Recreation Center (in front of the classroom under the awning), — by admin: Parents with children ages 18 months to 4 years: Last year thirteen parents in and around the Glover Park neighborhood came together to start up a summer co-operative at Macomb Recreation Center (near the National Cathedral). The program was designed to offer affordable and quality summer enrichment program for children who do not meet the age requirements of many summer camps in the District of Columbia. It was partially subsidized by DC's Department of Parks and Recreation. The summer program was a great success. But at the same time, we also know that we had to turn away several families because demand exceeded space. This year, we want to ensure that more families can join the summer co-op. We will open three locations this summer to meet this demand. Macomb, Hamilton, and Hardy Rec Centers are slated to open in summer 2017.
