Capitol Hill's Momentum Dance Theatre presents its 18th annual Jazz Hip Hop Nutcracker. This is a unique, high-energy twist to the typical Nutcracker, set to music from Duke Ellington's Nutcracker Suite plus hip hop, pop, funk, and more. Expecting a tree? Nope. A Nutcracker? Yes, but not the one you knew as a child. A prince and mice? Yep. Rats and ninjas? You bet! Momentum's professional performers are joined by local students as young as age 5. All five shows this year -- on December 10 (5 pm), 11 (3 pm), 17 (3 and 8 pm), and 18 (3 pm) -- will be at the Wilson High School auditorium.
