by Angela Adrar last modified Apr 30, 2014 09:00 PM
Free workshops include topics such as dying with herbs, kitchen medicine, art-making and others. To keep us moving, there will be a guided neighborhood herbal walking tour, and a community seed exchange so bring non-GMO seeds to share and (a dish and utensils for four) the potluck. Cooking and FICA capoeira demonstrations will take place in the outdoor market while DJ Mezkla mixes music, entertainment and vendors share raffle prizes throughout the afternoon. The DC Childcare Collective will provide childcare and all ages toddler/kids activities so parents can fully engage in workshops. It is close to local public transportation, and is free, though donations of $5 - $10 are suggested to support the day’s activities and include raffle tickets but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
