DESCRIPTION:Free workshops include topics such as dying with herbs\, k
 itchen medicine\, art-making and others.  To keep us moving\, there wi
 ll be a guided neighborhood herbal walking tour\, and a community seed
  exchange so bring non-GMO seeds to share and (a dish and utensils for
  four) the potluck. Cooking and FICA capoeira demonstrations will take
  place in the outdoor market while DJ Mezkla mixes music\, entertainme
 nt and vendors share raffle prizes throughout the afternoon. The DC Ch
 ildcare Collective will provide childcare and all ages toddler/kids ac
 tivities so parents can fully engage in workshops. It is close to loca
 l public transportation\, and is free\, though donations of $5 - $10 a
 re suggested to support the day’s activities and include raffle tick
 ets but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
