The Republican Fixation on the "No Kings" Protests
by Jeff Steele, last updated: Oct 17, 2025 12:12 PM
Republicans have blamed the "No Kings" rallies planned for tomorrow for the refusal of Democrats to vote to reopen the government, despite there being no evidence that this is true. They have then gone on to mischaracterize the participants in the rallies. Most recently, the White House Press Secretary has claimed that Democrats are "Hamas terrorists, illegal aliens, and violent criminals."
JD Vance: Vice President and Reply Guy
by Jeff Steele, last updated: Oct 16, 2025 05:40 PM
JD Vance is a malleable puppet who will assume whatever form is required for his self-advancement. Lacking both depth and imagination, he currently performs as a shallow and annoying "reply guy".

Trump and Heaven
by Jeff Steele, last updated: Oct 15, 2025 08:24 PM
Trump has been contemplating his chances of getting into heaven and seems to be pessimistic about his chances. This provides a window into his thinking about heaven and hell.

*Due to the federal government shutdown, this event is cancelled.* Families Together: Meet Ups: Fall
by SEEC, last updated: Oct 15, 2025 01:45 PM
Families Together’s mission is to create an atmosphere of lifelong learning. Families are invited to spend time together exploring a topic inspired by the Smithsonian’s collections. Different activities are available for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary aged children. Each class will focus on a specific artwork or object and a related topic. Play stations will be available for the hour, and an educator-led experience, centered around the object, will take place inside a museum. Explore, wonder, observe, and learn! Classes will gather in the Smithsonian Early Enrichment Center’s classroom for exploration and then go on a museum visit for a closer look at an object.
*Due to the federal government shutdown, this event is cancelled. We hope to reschedule at a later date*SEEC Enrollment Tour: American History Center

The Enhanced Health Insurance Premium Tax Credits
by Jeff Steele, last updated: Oct 14, 2025 06:25 PM
For reasons that I don't entirely understand, Democrats are desperately trying to save the Republicans from themselves. Other than Marjorie Taylor Greene, Republicans appear oblivious to the bomb that is about to explode in their faces due to the expiration of enhanced health insurance premium tax credits.

The Murder of Charlie Kirk
by Jeff Steele, last updated: Oct 14, 2025 01:20 PM
Charlie Kirk was neither the saint that those on the right are portraying him as, nor the devil some on the left are making of him. However, in death, he will become a political totem, representing whatever is politically expedient. Most dangerously, many on the right, including cult leader, convicted felon, and failed President Donald Trump, see this as MAGA's "Reichstag Fire".

The White House's Influencers
by Jeff Steele, last updated: Oct 10, 2025 04:00 PM
The White House is increasingly relying on right-wing influencers to provide both pretexts and support for its policies. While they portray themselves as "independent journalists," the influencers work hand-in-hand with the administration to produce content to support administration priorities.
