We're getting our shopping and catering lists ready and inviting friends to join us at Whole Foods Market Tenleytown and all DC stores on Wednesday, September 20th. With 5% of total purchases to benefit #ArtsandHumanitiesforEveryStudent, we'll be there all day! Please plan to shop at Tenleytown Whole Foods or any of the other locations (P Street, Foggy Bottom and H Street.) Invite friends for a coffee, lunch, dinner or drink. Have a Shopping Party! It’s time to get your paws on some pawpaws! Meadowside Nature Center will celebrate this delightful native fruit with music, crafts, games, expert advice on pawpaw cultivation, and most importantly a pawpaw tasting station. We’ll have pawpaw fruit and trees for purchase. But most importantly, what's a pawpaw? This native fruit has a tropical, electric taste. Its exterior flesh is green and very unassuming, but the insides are pale yellow, with dark brown seeds in the center.
