Is leaving your kids with ex/ after-school care an option during your on-call hours? Have you discussed this with your ex? You can offer to pay for the care during your custody time. This will be cheaper than aupair.

A child can never have too many people in their lives who love them. You are jealous. But you WANT your child to love their nanny. That's a good sign.

I am a new mom my baby just turned 12 months. We hired a nanny for my daughter when she was 6 months because we had to return to work. My baby girl started walking at 11 months and now she is a pro! Recently, when nanny arrives to work she runs to the door for a hug and when it’s time for nanny to go home most days she cries and doesn’t want nanny to leave?
I want to tell my husband that it makes me sad to see this. Watching my baby girl becoming attached to the nanny. But I need advice on what to say?
I think I want to take some time off work and just be with my baby but we will have to let the nanny go. Has any other moms felt this way?

It’s ludicrous to punish the nanny that your family got sick. Maybe you recovered faster because you were able to fill relax, as you had the nanny there to take care of your children. Perhaps she’s taking longer to recover over the stress of having an employer who has your attitude. Worrying about losing your job while sick (again, because of YOU) can’t be good for getting healthy quickly. You don’t get to decide when someone has been sick “long enough” ... wtf? When more than one of your kids gets ill do they recover in the same rate and at exactly the same time?
