OP many posters have pointed out that with older kids you don't have the same level of control to do what you enjoy opposed to what they enjoy or the parents need you to do. Nannying for older kids is often housework, supervising homework, chauffeuring around to activities, hosting play dates with their friends rather than yours, and sitting around all day or afternoon at their activities.

OP are they old enough to be in the pool by themselves? Do you have to be in the water with them?

If not then I think you need to just find a shady spot and hang out. Bring a cooler with cold drinks and maybe some ice packs and take a quick dip when you get too hot.

I would hate this too. I do not want to be outside in the summer for 5+ hours a day.

This sounds very similar to my past job, we were at the pool most of the day! I loved it! It was a great fit for me!

No, actually I did. The pp to whom I was responding did not follow the conversation well. It was a different responder she was quoting, not the OP.
