I won't nanny for a family who has tarantulas or snakes, and pay isn't a factor at all. I've seen kids go barreling through rooms and knock over fish tanks, and terrariums can be knocked over too (it's easier). I'm not so sure about the price PP quoted, but turning it down regardless of pay due to snakes? Sure. I'm not going to be responsible for cleaning up glass while trying to find creepy-crawlies and simultaneously trying to keep from freaking out while figuring out where to put them. |

NYE is a big night but it is not a holiday. Worth more? Sure. If you wantto go out, go out. Don't gouge people for the privilege of having you.

sure you did stocker you will be reveal so no time.... |

It really doesn't matter what your actual NYE plans are, since it is a holiday in which babysitters are usually busy themselves, it is only fair to charge more per hour on this date.
Supply + Demand. |
It is NOT a holiday. You can charge more because it is a a night when sitters are in high demand. Thinking that you automatically should charge time and a half because it is a holiday is a little flawed. For the record some parents offer twice the regular rate for NYE. |
