Only if you are making up your story.

OP here: You love stirring up drama huh? Why would I make up a story about a flu shot? Are you kidding me?

Yes, I have been a nanny for this family for 6 months but I have 7 years of experience. Every family that I have EVER worked for has NEVER had a problem with me not getting the flu shot. Also, yes...I am 100% confident that they aren't "shopping" for a new nanny. I know how hard it was for them to have to hire and then let go two nannies until they found someone who "J" was comfortable enough to not cry ALL DAY with. They tell me REPEATEDLY how happy they are that they found me and that "J" is comfortable with me. So yes, I am pretty darn confident that they aren't going to try and go through that process again. But if for SOME REASON they did...I'd be fine with it and respect their decision. Not too hard to find another position.

Now please go back to your hole and stop stirring up drama.

Sorry OP but multiple posters including nannies disagree with you. I didn't post the above comment but I fully agree that you have an over inflated ego. I strongly doubt that the parents chose you over the health of their child. You lied to them about getting the shot. You came back here with a story about how you are so amazing that the parents just don't care about their infant's heart condition anymore if it means they may offend princess nanny. You are simply too obnoxious and not believable.

8:09 She didn't lie to them about getting the shot. She told them she did not want to and why. How is that lying? She may value herself highly but is there really anything so bad about that? Everyone should think highly of themselves and value themselves. If you don't then I feel sorry for you and anyone else who doesn't.

8:21 I am saying that she lied to the parents and she is lying on this board. I don' t believe for a minute that she told the parents she didn't want the shot and they fawned over her. I think she lied to them about getting the shot and then lied in her posts about telling them. She is too ego driven and has freaked out with every post that disagreed with her.

OP, I experienced the same support from my employers, so I believe you.

OP here: wait a second....are you me? How would u know anything about what I did or said to the parents? That's right...you wouldn't. Please move on and stop talking out of your ass. I work for very understanding parents...something you must not be so lucky to have.

I have no problem with a TDAP shot every year or 2, or TB skin tests etc, since they don't affect me negatively.

You are an idiot. TDaP only requires one booster between the ages of 18-64, not "every two years".

Age 19 years and Older

All adults should get a booster dose of Td every 10 years. Adults under 65 who have never gotten Tdap should get a dose of Tdap as their next booster dose. Adults 65 and older may get one booster dose of Tdap.

Adults (including women who may become pregnant and adults 65 and older) who expect to have close contact with a baby younger than 12 months of age should get a dose of Tdap to help protect the baby from pertussis.

Healthcare professionals who have direct patient contact in hospitals or clinics should get one dose of Tdap.

Obviously you don't know anything about the booster. They say one booster for regular people during those years. Childcare providers are recommended to get it every 1-2 years.

MB here. Protecting my child's health and safety is the sine qua non of a nanny's job duty. If I feel an immunization is important for that, then the nanny must do it (or she can quit). Doesn't matter if I forgot to mention it in the interview.

Oh please. I'm another nanny, and I do not like to have unnecessary vaccinations. However, it is situational. If I were to work for a family with immunocompromised members, then I would bend my rules (for myself) about shots. If you just want me to get a shot for the hell of it or because you don't want me to miss work (and your kid is not immunocompromised), then no... not happening.
