Any successful relationship whether it be professional or personal cannot sustain itself without complete integrity. Nothing can kill trust than deception. Period.

The deception that exists now has destroyed that trust. You will NEVER ever get it back. And since you won't, then it wouldn't do anyone any good if you continued on.

I would advise getting all the monies owed to you first (If paid via check, wait until it clears...), then giving them notice that you are leaving stat.

Sure many people may think you would be leaving them high and dry without a provider and that leaving so abruptly would be a crummy thing to do to them.

But respect and honesty no longer exist her due to their deceptive actions. They only have themselves to blame if they are indeed left without a nanny. Do not feel guilty.

We all have choices in life.

If you want to get on your high horse and quit in a huff, go for it. Enjoy the moment.

You will have a wonderfully dramatic story. Probably one of many you will accumulate through life.

I wouldn't hire you if I got a sense of this kind of behavior, but you wouldn't want to work for me anyway if you're smart.

Good luck to you.

Is this a real/legit response....???!!

I cannot believe that you think this nanny is entitled simply because she demands to be treated with dignity and respect. GASP.

It is quite obvious to me that you are very biased/prejudiced toward those that would care for your children. I feel sorry for your kids.

Why would the family trust you until you've worked for them long enough to prove that your style is aligned with their preferences?

Take the high road. Tell them that you understand they want the best for their kid but that you just aren't comfortable working with cameras and auto tracking. Then provide notice as provided in your contract. They will have no choice but to think highly of you if you handle it that way. That will get you good karma as well as good references, and you'll feel good knowing that you did right by the kids (in not leaving them without care).

What an ass you are. If you want consideration, you need to earn it. You aren't entitled. Sorry.

No, your child with revolving door nannies is the poor victim of your selfishness.
