I would not be able to work if I had to shovel my own spot, for so many reasons the most primary of which are 1) I can't leave at 5am, I have to be here until at least 7 or the kids are unsupervised. 2) I can't spent two hours digging my car out and two hours clearing a spot and then work ten hours as a nanny.

Also, DC is a joke when it comes to snow. Some of us are leaving the house via second story windows this year.
