Yes that's exactly what I think. You stated it well. |
| Are you required to shovel out a space in your office complex? No. It is the responsibilty of the building's owners to maintain safe and adequate parking accommodations for their employees. |
| How much snow was preventing you from parking? Why couldn't you park in the driveway? When something similar happened to me, I parked in the driveway and walked in an said "I parked in the driveway since I couldn't park on the street. Just let me know if you need me to move |
| Got cut off. Her response was that she figured I'd just park in the driveway due to the snow. |
And nannies don't work in a building, they didn't go to college. I park on the street and no one clears me a space when I go to work, so I am not clearing one for the nanny. This is DC. |
I am a nanny and I have a masters degree. I agree about the parking space however. |
Nannies are now responsible for the children of these absentee parents. |
| My nanny is out until Friday but yesterday my husband shoveled the parking spot in front of our house where she usually parks. Last year when I was pregnant w/ #2 and we had a snow day, I told our nanny to stay home (which is what we usually do). She came by w/ her husband and he shoveled my side of the driveway for me as my husband was out of town on business. |
| Gotta love the braniacs who wondered why I didn't park in the driveway. It's an outdoor driveway. Like most driveways. It snowed there too. I didn't go to college and I was able to figure that out. |
I'm not sure what the point of this post is. Your husband shoveled out a space for someone who won't be back until Monday when the snow will all be gone and they will never notice? Or are you going to tell her "We are so thoughtful we cleared a space for you even thought you were gone for a week. Hope you appreciate it!" |
I'm a nanny and I have a degree. I suspect that you, however, do not. |
| Lol OP, you are just making yourself look dumber and dumber. |
No, you're the dumb one, unless you have something to contribute. |
|
Now honey, go play. The grown ups have work to do. |
